چکیده
The scattering problem refers to the gossiping and the broadcasting problems 1,2]. It consists in distributing a set of data from a single source such that each component is destinated to a distinct address. The gathering operation is the reverse of the scattering operation. This paper studies the problem of pipelining a scattering-gathering sequence in order to overlap these operations. We rst give a general solution for distributed memory parallel computers, and next we particularly study this problem on hypercubes. Towards a scheduling policy for hybrid methods on computational Grids
In this paper, we propose a cost model for running particular component based applications on a computational Grid. This cost is evaluated by a metascheduler and negotiated with the user by a broker. A specific set of applications is considered: hybrid methods, where components have to be launched simultaneously. 6
متن کاملModels for integrated resource and operation scheduling
This paper deals with energy and human resource constraints in scheduling models. It outlines the influence of these resources, and the necessity to account for them in scheduling models. A parallel view of these resources is presented, and their characteristics are illustrated in the case study of a tubing plant.
متن کاملRole of SOX9 in the Etiology of Pierre-Robin Syndrome
Objective(s:Cleft lip/palate are common congenital anomalies, affecting approximately 2/1000 live births. Pierre Robin Sequence is a subgroup of the cleft palate population. Chromosomal abnormalities near the SOX9 gene disrupt the regulation of this gene and prevent the SOX9 protein from properly controlling the development of facial structures, which leads to isolated PRS. The present study wa...
متن کاملPygmalion in Conversation with Pierre Bourdieu:A Sociological Perspective
George Bernard Shaw's masterpiece Pygmalion deals with the social function of language and reveals that Linguistic Competence is one of the markers of social status. It presents the story of the social transformation of a flower girl into a ‘lady’ through linguistic retraining. This work has been analyzed from a variety of perspectives such as Freudian psychology and sociolinguistic perspective...
